March-ing Forwards! March News from De Fiddes

This month has been a whirlwind! Deb enjoyed her role as guest lecturer for the 3rd year Interior Architecture students at Curtin University. Her presentation on ‘wellness and how that translates into designing enabling environments’  (an inspiration to this month’s theme) went down very well with the students, who kept her there asking questions for an hour and a half! We are beyond happy to be able to pass down good design knowledge to new designers.

We were also very honoured to receive an award from BUILD Home and Garden Awards!

We are also proud to be a partner of the Down to 10 Days campaign. An Alliance of organisations working together to get people with disability the housing and support they need.

We wholeheartedly agree with the message. We want people with a disability to receive the housing and support they need when they need it. Sometimes people are kept waiting months and years for paperwork to be processed. The campaign seeks the Federal Government and NDIA to commit to doing better – approvals for housing for those with disabilities who are stuck in hospital within 10 days.  Sign the petition here.
