In a study by Pew Research Centre found that One-third of American adults ages 65 and older say they never use the internet, and roughly half (49%) say they do not have home broadband services.
French designer Eva Rielland has come up with a unique way to help people learn, stay up to date and in keep contact with loved ones digitally which has really got us intrigued!
Designed to relieve the anxiety around learning a new system, Objects of Another Age incorporate minimalism and function. Each object has one use, which works with a clear and obvious gesture from the user to mimic the real world use, and removes the need for too much computer interface.
With built in displays that have a single function, such as the ‘mailbox’ for sending emails, ‘printer’ for printing images etc. These objects whilst still in prototype are an exciting look into learning and making new technologies easier and more accessible for everyone.
